Select Teams (U11 and up):

All returning select players have already been registered for spring 2010. No additional paperwork is necessary. You do not have to complete the online registration form if your athlete played in the fall. The registration fee is $75 made payable to BYSA. Please provide your payment directly to your team's coach or manager. Your coach or manger will have your registration information for you to update and sign. Per new rules adopted by the BYSA Board, all players must be registered and paid before they can practice with their team. Training fees will be based on number of sessions per week with the professional trainer assigned to the team.

New select players joining the club can either complete the online registration form and pay online (credit card/electronic check payments only), or can complete the registration form on paper and give their registration payment to their coach or manager.

Registrations received after January 31st will go to fill any available spaces on existing teams on a first-come basis. Parent-coaches Needed for Youth Recreational Teams

Several spots still unfilled in all recreational age divisions

The Recreational program is run completely by parent coaches and volunteers. The club does not provide coaches or trainers for any Rec teams. As such, it is imperative that we get parents (dads and moms) to volunteer their time and effort to lead their child’s team. Unfortunately, if we do not get enough parent coaches for a season we may be forced to turn away kids. We strongly encourage all parents to consider coaching.

You do not need to have any experience playing soccer or even be familiar with the game to coach, especially in our younger age groups. BYSA provides all parent coaches with valuable resources including a training DVD and workbook in order to get you up to speed quickly on the rules of the game and help you put together structured practices. With parents usually present at all practices and games, all it takes is one or more of you to step up and lead the team. Coaching is a great way to share a wonderful experience with your child; one that they will remember forever. Also, as an added bonus, the coach gets to set the practice day and time so you can cater it to your schedule.

If you are interested in coaching, please contact Trey Jacks at 210-325-8168 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

BYSA Ready to Kick into High Gear Through Affiliation with Dallas Texans-San Antonio

The Bulverde Youth Soccer Association is very pleased to announce that the anticipated affiliation between BYSA and the Dallas Texans-San Antonio Soccer Club is now a reality. The Dallas Texans Soccer Club is the top-ranked youth soccer club in the country, and this agreement will bring virtually limitless soccer opportunities for our players, coaches, and families.

Dallas Texans - San AntonioStarting with the fall 2010 season, the Ranger Soccer Club will become part of the Dallas Texans-San Antonio organization and the Dallas Texans-SA will provide training and coaching for all developmental and competitive teams at Jumbo Evans. This includes U9 and up, all Division II, Super II, and Division I teams.

BYSA will continue to promote and operate its very popular recreational program, and BYSA will continue to manage and operate everything that happens at the Jumbo Evans Sports Complex, including the fields, games, and referees.

Combining resources with the Dallas Texans organization provides a very clear player development path from U5 soccer all the way through U19. Thomas Woolley, Director of Coaching for the Texans said that "Joining the Dallas Texans will give BYSA players and coaches wonderful opportunities for exchanges, tournaments, camps and clinics. The affiliation will also provide administrative and sponsorship support for BYSA, which ultimately helps players and families."

Bryan Smith, BYSA's President, said, "Over the years that I have been with the Rangers, we have seen so many talented players leave us for other clubs that were able to offer more opportunities than we could at the time. Consequently, we could never truly compete with the larger clubs in the area. While it has always been our desire to provide a playing spot for every player at the right level, it has not always been possible. Through our affiliation with the Dallas Texans, we now can offer the very best soccer environment, training, competition, and opportunities for our kids - at all levels, right here in the Bulverde area at Jumbo Evans. With the resources and opportunities that the Dallas Texans-SA will bring, we hope to not only see those talented players coming back to BYSA, but we also expect to be able to attract players from surrounding areas, making this club their first choice.”

The Dallas Texans are consistently ranked as one of the top clubs in the country on both the boys' and girls' sides. Both boys and girls have been ranked #1 nationally. The Dallas Texans name is one of the most highly respected names anywhere in the country, and they enjoy the benefits of being a NIKE Premier Club and the distinction of exclusive affiliation with Manchester United, one of the most recognized professional clubs in the world.

We encourage all parents and players to find out more about the Dallas Texans soccer organization by visiting the Dallas Texans and Dallas Texans-San Antonio websites.
